Identity proposal for the 42th edition of Host Milano, the international exhibition dedicated to the world of food service and hospitality. The concept was developed visualizing also the future edition (43rd and 44th). Draft designed at Leftloft.

Fanzine designed for Carlo Rainone whose photographic research focus on the Italian game of bocce. The booklet is printed with a risograph RZ200 in black on coloured paper and is published by Barracuda, the self-initiated project of From Outer Space (Anna Paola Buonanno and Piergiorgio Italiano).

William Cordova
2019
Taking William Cordova’s exhibition “ankaylli: spatial and ideological terrain” at Marfa Contemporary as a point of departure, this book highlights the way the artist (who was born in Lima and is based in Miami) layers referents and histories across cultures. Bringing together a constellation of Cordova’s artworks in a wide variety of medium—sculptures, collages, Polaroids, a video, objects around town, a free newspaper and a website—in which Pre-Columbian traditions, modern art and architecture, and spiritualism overlap, the exhibition stages these objects in the fitting home of Marfa, a town equally known for Native American history, minimalism and star-gazing. The small selections of objects is organized by theme, leading to an archive whose aim is to be a reference for designers and creatives of the contemporary visual culture. The research is accompanied by an interview to Matteo Guidi (visual artist and anthropologist) and enriched with a series of black and white photographs of photo-reporter like Luciano Ferrara and Luciano D’Alessandro.

Madonna delle galline

Poster designed on the occasion of “Madonna delle galline” a popular folk festival which takes place every year one week after Easter in Pagani, a small town near Salerno, in Southern Italy. The brief was to design an A4 poster for the occasion and the result was exhibited on the wall in the town during the festival.

Handkerchief
2016
Handkerchief is a magazine which aims to raise awareness and promote a dialogue on homophobia and gender orientation. Each issue is focused on a specific topic and colours are chosen according to the “Handkerchief Code”, a communication system used among the homosexual community during the Sixties. The publication is designed to be freely distributed and read both in a traditional way as well as a wall magazine, posted in public or private spaces. On May 21st 2016 Handkerchief has been awarded the Gold prize for the student category together with the Jury prize at the European Design Awards in Vienna.

Inspired by the story of iGuzzini (a family-run Italian company mostly specialized in the lighting design field) the book collects interviews by the leader Adolfo Guzzini and designers such as Piero Castiglioni and Bruno Gecchelin. The iconographic part of the monograph, instead of the design products themselves, is made by details of photographs and artworks whose main topic is the natural landscape of the Marche Region in which the company is established: different artistic approach for different concept of light.
